Why I stopped gaming on my PC

Recently I’ve been reading around on how some game developers are no longer supporting the PC platform, and PC game sales are going lower by the day. I just have to jump onboard the wagon on this one. So here it is: the main reason I stopped gaming on my PC is hardware cost.

Every time a new game came out, not only did I have to pay for the game itself but also run to a PC part store and upgrade the video card, more ram, etc. Well I maybe exaggerating but at least two or three times a year you had to fork out a bunch of greens. Sum it up and your rig was costing you way more than you originally planned to. It was nice when you were younger and every single dime that fell in your hands was immediately used or saved for the sole purpose of upgrading your PC, but well, for me and many of you out there things change and suddenly it doesn’t make any sense anymore to spend all that money on upgrading frequently.

Then there is the configuration. Not only did you have to spend your money but also time, face it, I did it, and you still do it, we spend over an hour tweaking the game in order to get it to run smoothly with our setup.

I had never been a console guy, the last console I owned (and still do) was the original NES, nevertheless I got myself a Wii this year, It is great fun and I know every game I get will run on it as it was intended to. You can actually buy a game to do what it was exactly meant to do: have fun. I may even be getting an xbox360 later on.

I’m still addicted to the Wii.

So that means… no PC release of DMC4? What have they done to sony-hatin’, fanservice-hungry, gaming women of the world! D:
